Useful travel information

Visas: Travellers entering Uganda need to be in possession of a valid passport and visa. Visas can be obtained at all points of entry and at the Embassy's. Passports should be valid for 6 months beyond the end of your visit to Uganda. When entering the country, ensure that you have sufficient blank visa pages for your entering and exiting visa stamps.

Insurance: It is strongly advised that you take out a fully comprehensive insurance including death, medical expenses, injury, delays, loss and damage of property. Uganda Butterfly Safaris will not be held responsible for any such claims.

Program

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet & greet by your driver guide and proceed to accommodation about 7 minutes away. Depending on the time of arrival and your preference, we may have optional butterfly viewing around Entebbe Botanical Gardens. Families of butterflies found here include; Swallowtails such as Green Banded Swallow-tail, Narrow Green Banded Swallowtail, Emperor Swallowtail, Mocker Swallow-tail etc. Nymphalidea such as Pearl Charaxes, White barred Charaxes, and other Charaxes, Lycaenidea, Pieridae and skippers. A variety of curated animals at the Zoo that can't be missed include; the tigers, african lions, the leopards, buffalos, antelopes, the Shoebill among others. Birds that can be seen at the botanical garden include: Starling, Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird, Yellow, Creamy White-eyes, Scarlet-chested, Olive, Green Sunbirds, Double-toothed Barbet, Black and White Casqued Hornbill, Woodland, Pygmy, Pied Kingfishers, Blue-spotted Wood Dove, Vieillot’s Black, Slender-billed, Golden-backed, Holub’s Golden Weavers, Grey-headed Sparrow, Sunbird, Grey Woodpecker, Eastern Grey Plantain Eater, Alpine, Palm, White-rumped Swifts, Palmnut Vulture, African Green Pigeon and many others. Overnight at Lake Victoria View Guest House (Bed and Breakfast).
